This book was published in occasion of the exhibition "TRENTA - PARA- VENTI 30 ANNI PER UNA COLLEZIONE", curated by the author in the prestigious spaces of Palazzo Crivelli in Via Pontaccio, Milan. The exhibition took place in occasion of the 30th year of Helena Markus’s activity as gallerist and scholar of oriental art. It presented the thirty most fine and rare Japanese folding screens of her collection

Surimono
"Surimono", Milan, 1992

This book was published in occasion of the exhibition which took place in Via Montenapoleone 21, Novembre, 1992.
The core of the exhibition consisted in surimono of refined quality, divided in two groups: still life and human characters, which were the most depicted subjects by surimono artists. Surimono can now be universally considered the highest expression of the engraving xylography technique.

This book was published in occasion of the exhibition which took place in Via Montenapoleone 21, April 1991.
The exhibition presented an extremely rare and important collection of high quality Japanese prints. Amongst the exhibited artist, there were Harunobu, Koryusai, Utamaro, Toyokuni, Hokusai, Hiroshige and others. The catalogue, besides presenting the artists and their works, gives an historical background and shows their production techniques.

I Secoli d'Oro del Paravento Giapponese
"The Golden Age of Japanese Screens", Milan, 1990

This book was published in occasion of the exhibition which took place in Via Montenapoleone 21,in October 1990. The exhibition presented, for the first time in Italy, a selected number of byobu, the famous Japanese folding screens used in the country of the Rising Sun, from the old times. The goal of this publication was that of giving a scientific support to the exhibited masterpieces and a guide to their aesthetic comprehension.

Exhibition in Centro Piemontese di Studi sul Medio ed Estremo Oriente, Firenze, Giusti, 1983, pp. xxiii-96, 98 ill. Again the first book on the subject published in Italy. The book accompanied the first exhibition on Surimono, till then in Italy virtually unknown. The exhibition was curated by Helena Markus. for the ‘Centro Piemontese di Studi sul Medio ed Estremo Oriente’ 1983.
